Great Sunday roast! Highly recommend the trio of meats. Second time here and again it did not disappoint, attentive staff and good food. It gets quite busy so definitely book in advance. Will be popping in again soon!
Always such a great timing dining here. The food is top quality using the finest and freshest ingredients. My partner and I had the lamb and pork roasts which were fantastic! The sides - out if this world (special shout out to that cauliflower- wow). Other dishes to mention are the steak, focaccia, and.... The choc peanut delice Thanks to the team for the superb service and incredible food!
We came for a Sunday roast but I skip the traditional roast and went for the beef rib - food was really really tasty. Yorkshire pudding as large as my head. Do not skip dessert and order the chocolate peanut one, it was delicious! Overall, a lovely sunny afternoon on the canal with superb food to indulge in. Will be back soon!
What a lovely place! I give it 10/10 for everything, starting from a unique setting and a chilled atmosphere, through exquisite food and super friendly, helpful staff! The whole experience of dining was made so enjoyable and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs! I would highly recommend Barge East! We will be frequent guests there for sure!
I’ve been to Barge East a few times now and I always love the experience. I had a roast today for lunch and it was amazing! Friendly staff, good service and beautiful view of the canal. I would definitely recommend! Thanks to the Barge for a great day out!
Our second visit for a Sunday Roast and the food was incredible. The truffle cauliflower cheese is a little pricey as it’s a large portion (more than enough for 3 people). If they could also offer a smaller option for one that would be amazing! Staff are fantastic and the boat is really cosy on a cold winter day.
I was invited there for dinner by my sister and her partner. To be honest, at first I was kind of sceptical about what kind of a place it is since it looks a bit deserted outside. However, it turned out to be a total surprise for me in the end. I was amazed by the taste of all the dishes I ordered (focaccia with a mushroom butter, pumpkin soup and Angus ox cheeks as starters; fried aubergine with crispy lettuce touches and the onglet steak with the delicious sauce ). I would have had a dessert afterwards but sadly we didn’t have much time for that because we had to catch the basketball game in the end. All in all, it was a great experience with excellent & quick service by experienced staff in this small boat!
